EDUCATIONAL - SCAN TO BIM - 2024 - USA
Barataria Educational Center
Designed by Eskew Filson Architects, the building is an elevated structure on concrete piers to prevent flooding. Its architecture features an exposed steel truss system, long-span elements, and layered assemblies that connect with the water, landscape, and local identity. Key challenges from a point cloud-to-BIM perspective include accurately modeling piers, irregular geometry, and exposed truss connections.
